FORTHCOMING EVENTS, Nov/Dec/Jan

Westbury-sub-Mendip is a village with a population of about 800, situated on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills (location map) half-way between the cathedral city of Wells and the world-famous Cheddar Gorge. Glastonbury, famous for its Abbey and music festival, is about fifteen minutes away. Bristol Airport, now served by low-cost airlines, can be reached in less than half an hour. A choice of bed & breakfast and self-catering accommodation is available within the village.

Our web site aims to provide a snapshot of community life in this attractive Somerset village, as well as useful links to a wide range of local and national web sites.

Site Search: Find what you're looking for from the index (left), or by entering a word, name or phrase into the Google search box at the top of the page. Select right hand button and search.

News: Regularly updated news of recent events appears monthly in the parish magazine, the latest copy of which can be downloaded in MS Word format by clicking on The Pew. For summary of recent and forthcoming events, click on calendar of events.

Detailed material, such as historical information, is stored in MS Word or PDF files. These can be downloaded, printed or saved on your hard disk for reading off-line.
