Local T'ai Chi classes are held every Monday in the village hall and new members are welcome to join.
Now is a good time to join because the class has completed learning the T'ai Chi 24 with Mike Parfitt (see Mike's website) and we are now starting on a new sequence, T'ai Chi Bang (The Immortal Flute).
Over thousands of years, T'ai Chi developed to help with posture and teach the body to move in a relaxed, natural manner. It is suitable for all ages and abilities.

| Local business initiative to support PTA |

Some time ago St. Lawrence School PTA sent out a newsletter, requesting parents to think of ideas to help with fundraising. Local mum, Victoria Jones tried making Golden Syrup Rice Crispy cakes (which would not set and looked as flat as if they had been sat on) but then hit on that simple yet elusive idea...
After working in the entertainment industry, offering laundry services for several years, Victoria realised that through her company Swift Laundry, which offers a laundry service to the community, she I could sponsor the school PTA. She has pledged to give 10% of every sale generated within Westbury-sub-Mendip and surrounding villages to the PTA. Victoria says, "This is a far more productive use of my time. I am much better at laundry than making cakes!"
To help the school PTA while meeting all your laundry needs, contact Victoria at swiftlaundry.com (tel: 01749 870136) and quote: STL10.
